Very shy around new people – she hardly says a word unless people actually talk to her. Because of that she might seem a bit rude in the beginning. She’d rather listen to people. For some reason, people do seem to always tell her what’s on their mind. Once she considers you a friend, she’ll open up and be herself – a kind of funny, ironic, yet serious person. She also tends to sense it when people around her are angry, sad, or whatever. Unconsciously she’ll adapt to that mood and get angry herself, without even knowing why. It can be quite annoying.
good
playing bass & piano, drawing, riding horseback, silence, clouds, grey
bad
people full of themselves or pretending to be someone they’re not
past
She was born and raised in a quite normal family. At the age of eight, her mother got handicapped – her left arm and leg are lame. Thanks to that, Katelynn respects handicapped people, and will help them if they ever need it. Not only that, she learned not to judge people on how they look. Her mother looked different, but inside, she was still the same. Her parents ‘loved’ her, she usually got most things she wanted, although they weren’t extremely rich. Yet fights occurred every now and then, and one day, the biggest fight ever occurred. Katelynn left the house, with the money she had saved throughout the years, and has come to Green County, hoping to start a new life as a young adult.

Icy spheres looked up to the darkening atmosphere, before they wandered to the young male’s left wrist, where a nice, but old watch was situated. Eight pm. In summer, it would still be light, but now, in the middle of winter, it was as dark as it could ever be. Okay, maybe midnight would be darker. It wasn’t that dark anyway, it wasn’t like he needed a flash light to see where he was going. And there were still quite a lot of people out here, yet he didn’t know one single person. He had gotten here yesterday, and had locked himself up immediately, unpacking, and exploring his apartment. At least he wouldn’t get lost in those few rooms. For Zach was able to. If there was one thing you could call him a master of, then that would be getting lost. But he needed to see what people were like, maybe even talk to a few and make some acquaintances. Friends ? He would be happy if people would even talk to him. Yes, he was a loner, he was a quiet one, but sometimes, he felt the need to just talk. But he was too shy to just approach people and start a conversation.
And now, his feet, surrounded by worn black converses, carried his fragile frame into the direction of a tree. Just a normal one, but to Zach it was something beatiful. Sometimes, Zach longed to be one. A tree. Just to be able to see so much throughout centuries, hear everything, feel everything, and just – be on with nature. One might think Zach wasn’t someone who liked nature, but he enjoyed it. You’d rather think he was one to destroy it, a rebel. Maybe he was a rebel, but that part of him was hidden deep, impossible to fid and bring to the surface. Now, anyway.
As a tree, you would always hear the sounds of creatures waking up, wandering through a forest for example, or flying high up in the sky – but at the same time, there was complete silence. Silence, mixed with the heart beating of mother earth herself. It was like a mystery, one of the few mysteries Zach didn’t even want to solve, despite his extremely curious nature. It was a mystery he wanted to be a part of.
He approached the tree, one of the several ones in the park, abut halted a few metres before it, and flopped down on the ground, not feeling the need to go any closer, and even less to go sit against it. He would feel like destroying something, it was like this large – creature, was sacred, and told him to stop, and to show his respect. Breathing in the rhythm as the earth, Zach closed his pale azure pools, sitting Indian style, his arms resting on his legs. Sure, it was just a tree. But it was beautiful, in Zacharias’s eyes.
