History // Jessicka is a pretty normal person even though her past is shattering. Her parents split up when she was of the age of four. Really, she didn’t know what exactly happened at that time and where her beloved dad went but once she got into a primary school and old enough to understand things better, discovering that your father, your own flesh and blood had divorced your mother was heart breaking for her. Why did it happen? On pictures they looked all so happy, holding hands, smiling laughing. A disguise? Pictures can fool. Well she tried to get over it, and managed to in the end.
A few years later, her father stormed back through the door. To Jessicka, he looked different, a stranger to her and then, the next thing she knew, her pulled a gun out of his pocket and shot her mother clean in the head. Police said he was a stoned or high on some other drug, but she knew it was because her mother said she wanted to get divorced, only years before. Her father then ran away and hasn’t been seen since. No one knows where he is or if he is even still alive. The police never managed to find him, no matter where they looked he was no where to be seen. She was happy for that. Her father, who she used to love so dearly had caused manslaughter, as he wasn’t aware of what he was doing. It just happened. Maybe the Guilt of what he did took over him and he committed suicide. Whatever, he’s gone.
Jessicka moved away to her cousin and remained there for a while until her father came to follow, trying to drag her back to Finland and live with him. She didn’t want to so he resulted in violence and stabbed her in the side and ran of. That was the last time she saw her dad. Jessicka moved away to a boarding school in a different state to start a modeling and fashion design career as that’s something she really loves. Leaving to school after two years, she returned home to green county where she first left to continue modeling and fashion design outside school.

She has always been fascinated by spiders. She used to collect them and when she was younger. Spending hours rooting through the dusty old shed at the bottom of their garden. Hunting the cobwebs for lurking eight- legged predators n when she found one, she you let it loose in her bedroom. It used to driver her mum Mad!
Usually, the spiders would slip away after no more than a day or two, never to be seen again, but sometimes they hung around longer. She had one who made a cobweb above her bed and stood sentry for almost a month. Going asleep, she used to imagine the spider creeping down, crawling into her mother, sliding down her throat and laying loads of eggs in her belly. The baby spiders would hatch after a while and eat her alive, from the inside out.
She loved being scared when she was little and when she was nine, her parents gave her a little tarantula. It wasn’t poisonous or very big, but it was the greatest gift she’s ever received. She played with that spider almost every waking hour of the day. Gave it all sorts of treats: flies and cockroaches and tiny worms. Spoiled it rotten.
Then, one day, She did something stupid. Anathema had been watching a cartoon in which one of the characters was sucked up by a vacuum cleaner. No harm came to him. He squeezed out of the bag, dusty and dirty and mad as hell but it was really funny. So funny, she tried it herself. With the tarantula.
Needless to say, things didn’t happen quite as they did in the cartoon. The spider was ripped to pieces. She cried a lot, but it was to late for tears. Her pet was dead, and it was all her fault, and there was nothing she could do about it.
Her parents nearly hollered the roof down when they found out what she’d done - the tarantula had cost them quite a bit of money. They said she was a Irresponsible fool, and from that day on they never again let her have another pet, not even an ordinary garden spider.

She was in the toilet, sitting down, humming a song but she still had her skirt on. She’d come in near the end of her lesson with Merrick, feeling sick. Her teacher, teacher in the mythology of Vampires, Merrick Creepsly, he is great about things like that. He’s smart and knows when she is faking it and when she is being serious. He just took one look at her when she mentioned it and said she wasn’t feeling very well and nodded his orange haired head and told her to make for the toilet.
Throw up whatever is bugging you, Anathema, he said, Then get your behind back here but as always, she didn’t want to go back to the boring old lesson and while she was stuck with him, learning things, people where out having fun.
So there she was, humming, watching my watch, waiting for when the lesson would be over. Then she heard someone calling her name.
Anathema! Hey, Anathema! Have you fallen in or what?
She grinned. It was one of the older people Merrick taught who would leave soon and go his own way. Unlike her, he was a full vampire. Anyway, it was Steve Leopard. His real surname was Leopard. And not just because the names sound alike. Steve used to be what merrick calls “a wild child”. He raised hell wherever he went, got into fights an stole in shops and one day. He was feared and despised wherever he went but not by her. She had been his friend since she moved to this town to lean with merrick.
hey, Steve she called back.
I’m in here. She hit the door so she knew which one of the toilets she was on about and which door she was behind. He hurried over and opened the door. A smile flashed to his lips when he saw she still had her skirt on.
Did you puke? he asked.
No, she replied.
Do you think your gonna?
Maybe, she spoke again and then leaned forward and all of a sudden made a sick noise. Bluurgh! But Steve knew her to well to be fooled and grabber her by the scruff of her Top and dragged her back out, to merrick and to continue the boring lesson.
